Honestly I would save your money for a good graduate school.

The problem with bachelor's degrees these days is that you only need like a 2.0 or something to graduate, which means any moron can get one.

I think a master's degree from a top school has a better value than a degree from some small, overpriced liberal arts college.

graduate school is more or less bull shit. it's great to get a graduate degree, if it's free and you have a job while you are getting it. it is just another way for schools to sucker you out of your money and delay the inevitable. i went to graduate school, huge mistake i might add, as did lots of my friends in various subjects from great schools and seems like the people i know with the most amount of education are suckers because we have lots of paper but we didn't get the great job we all thought we would. my suggestion is go to a great undergraduate school, get a fantastic internship get a good job then make your company pay for grad school.

although it really depends on your area of study, some people have to go to grad school and if you fall into that category don't fuck around with a masters, just get your PhD.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

Grad school is not for all majors, but what I'm saying is that paying $40k a year for a school like Syracuse just so you can have their name on your degree...it isn't worth it.

You can get a free ride to grad school if you pick the right degree. In psychology (Ph.D., not PsyD.), usually you get free tuition. I had a fellowship for the first two years so I got a stipend without doing any work. Then I got an RA/TA and got a little bit of money for living expenses. I wasn't earning a lot, but I made money doing very little work.

I didn't get the Ph.D. because I hated academia, but my master's degree served me well in my career.

When did Syracuse become a good school whose name on a degree has a lot of value?

^if it worked for you congrats and you didn't pay anything so that's win all around. not saying it doesn't work for everyone but from my understanding with some disciplines you get a masters as a consolation prize for not getting the phd.
