History shows Europe cheapens music genres

History shows Europe cheapens music genres. They look at whats going on in the World musically and rape if for every penny they can get, cheapening it in the process. They are commercial machines with no care for the music.
We had the Italians do it in the late 80's, they killed raves. Spanish had a go mid 90's, then Germans hit early 2000.
Today the Dutch have completely cheapened Trance in every form possible throughout 2000's. I think they have done the most damage ever, it's a disaster.

It's time to hand it back to countries who care for music, like British, Americans (NOT Markus Shitlz!, or Emery who are pretty much Dutch now).

Time to ignore the Dutch and their cheesy pop star crap videos and start putting some class back into the Trance scene.

I find myself getting embarrassed to say I like Trance music when people ask, I have to explain it's NOT Pop Euro sound that people think is Trance.

Be great to see more proper trance topics here, this will show promoters that there's a hunger for the real stuff and we'll hopefully see some new night pop up with new music and DJ's. The Trance scene is shit out there at the moment.

A lot of the Dutch producers that rised in like 98/99, like Ferry, Rank 1, Airscape, were all most succesful in Britain.

Airwave took the number 10 spot in the general hit chart. In Holland Airwave didn't enter at all.

You hyped it yourself, UL!

Funny that such a tiny country can do this

And also I still haven't met someone who is entitled to says what's trance and what's not, but that has been discussed many times here.
You could simply say it's commercial or poppy trance and tell that there are other sub-genres, but to be embarrassed about it sounds ridiculous. You could even say it replaced Eurodance, which is my explanation.
In the 90's many people called trance house because of the bass and disco beat. I never had a problem with that.

If you would skip the vocals would it still have that pop Euro sound? I don't think so, but that's my opinion.

I'm not denying it's moving closer and closer to pop, but I guess there still is a huge audience for that as there always has been.

If you would give more attention to your real trance that would help that genre much more than giving attention to the one you don't like. The Dutch will take advantage even of negative attention for as long as it lasts.

I'm not digressing into whats 'real trance' or whats not. Trance comes in all shapes and forms, from uplifting, dark, hard etc. Whats upsetting me that these Euro dance guys use the Trance tag to keep themselves cool, thus distancing themselves away from the pop World. When in fact they are actually pop DJ's. They make pop videos in the same way Pop acts do, to attract themselves to the masses. Being famous comes first to them, not the music.

They are abusing the Trance genre so they stay 'cool'. This rocks the boat for the true Trance fans, DJs and producers as 'Trance' is being devalued by them.

Ask most people away from Trance and they look at the Trance scene as a laughing joke saying it's pop.The media wont take trance serious anymore. We all know it can be credible and have some serious talent out there (may it be uplifting - hard) that are getting overlooked due to the Trance genre being tarnished.

Italians (I'm guessing you mean Italio disco?) killed rave culture? Interesting, got a source for that?

So you hate an entire continent? Last time I checked Trance was bascially born in Germany, unless you want to go into details about KLF - Last train to trancecentral

Yes yes yes, I'm not bashing Dutch as a whole, you know what mean I'm generalizing. As far as I remember Techno came from Germany. I recall the first signs of Trance proper coming from Israel. Remember the famous Goa Trance parties in 1990 that the Israelis took to India? Well I do as I'm in my late 40's I was at them. I also used to work for Sony music for 25 years, so pretty much seen many changes.

thats racist. theres not even conclusive proof that they did 9/11, or that they did 9/11 alone. george bush could have paid jews to do it, but george bush is not a jew!
