'Sleazey Lizard' - deep late night track.

Any thoughts on the mix?

The main break part I am still trying to figure out, so it's a WIP.

Everything sounds a little over processed to me. Maybe leave one or two of the elements dry or intimate in teh name of balance.

Nice work!, I like the musical idea behind, but not sure of the mix. Hi hats sound a bit loud, I like the groove after the minibreak, the bass comes a bit agressive some work need to be done there, too resonant. The synth, a matter of taste.

do you ever wonder why your hihats always have the same position. Just curious. Ever question why you make your percussion so predictable and generic. Is it something you don't think about or are you just trying to do what others do.

Not enough aggression in the Bass!!!!!! Make it sound like it could rip someone's head off!!!!!!

j/k

Seriously, I like where this is progressing, it's got a nice groove.

The hats are a little high in the mix and I would like that keyboard stab in the background to come out a little perhaps.

Will be interesting to see where you take this, but it has potential in my mind for sure.

Cheers
Nem

On the last couple I used my own vpice fpr the hatz and thought they were quite original. On this I just wanted a simple jog along for the hats and I like em!

The percusion I think about a great deal - and the toms are exactly as I want em.

Cheers for the feed

NEM - I don't know about making the bass too agressive - I feel it could take away from the laid back feel maybe?
I think your right about the key stab and hat levels though.

Any ideas on a break main signature? Wierd vocals or sumit? I guessed this is too slow for your tastes hence why I didn't think about a colab here.
Cheers

MISE - you also mention hats too high in level so I'll pull em down. The bass resonance - I'll try see if I spot what you mean on that.
Cheers

TEHLORD - Yea I have gone for a lot of verb on the sounds to try and get a late night slightly distant feel but I will consider account your suggestion.
Cheers

NOTE > I'm making this for me for once, whereas I usualy have in mind a wider appeal, so I'm just going with the flow mainly.

Alternate title suggestion: Lascivious Gecko Huh? ... Huh?

I'm liking this one, a lot. Love that break, too. A lot of what I could suggest is fine-tuning which would turn it into one of my songs (only with a decent mix).

Like the title, slurp.

Your mixing is spot on mate, as well you know.
