programming bass sounds in massive

Hi

I really getting nowhere trying to make a deep sounding prog style bass sound from NI massive.

I have been experimenting and I'm not really sure what waves to use and how many, what filters and envelope setting,etc.

i'm not looking for specific sound just a deep bass sound to start me off so I can keep experimenting and create other bass sounds from different tunes.

The tune im writing is 132bpm.

Any help would be great!

Could you please provide some kinda sample of the bass you might be going for? could try to help you out. There are square bases, sine bases, etc... and that typically governs what waveform you use.

I'm fairly familiar with massive, but I've mostly done dubstep with it.

In terms of routing it's really simple...Say you want to have envelope 1 affect filter 1. You simply drag the envelope icon (looks like a move cursor with 4 arrows) into one of the little boxes. From there you click hold inside the box and drag up/down to apply the envelope to the knob.

can do this with any of the LFo's (duuubstep) and whatnot. From there you really just experiment and mess around

And again, if you have a specific bass sound in mind either post it here or pm me an example from a prog track. I could probably help you out and send you a patch to look at.
