would this track cut it for release?

hey...i am a little stumped...creatively..with this track..
wondering if you think it is releaseable?

and if it was your track...what would you like to do with it?
im not expecting golden answers to my broad question....just trying to get an idea....
Beautiful Planet by CREST
cheers

It has potential, but lacks depth in some places, more apparently in the rhythm and effects.

true....

there is a total lack of depth in this...i have had it on repeat for a while trying to find an aspect of what it needs....and as you said...it is depth that it lacks in the rhythm...
the thing that i personally love about trance music...is that challenge.....thats why we post right? to learn...

cheers....im off to the depths now...
have a brill new year...!

Add FX and filter in some of the intro elements.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic (I didn't want to post in the old thread), but I couldn't help but notice a similarity between your track and Armin van Buuren - Sail (at least in the bass range). I can't give you much in the way of musical advice, but do you have any ideas for mastering it already? Or are you hoping the label will take care of it? Either way I recommend comparing it to Armin's sound, perhaps with slightly more emphasis on the treble, since his master is lacking. Listening to it I've come up with some ideas myself, but I'm not sure the music cuts it to be honest. You really need to add more I think. I'm far from a producer but "depth" might cover it; just different melodies and such. If you'd like advice on mastering it though, let know.

yeah...i seem to be a little stuck for melodies...i have wandered from this tune now...hopefully something will come..to complete it...
i have no idea on how to master it...your advise has been great so far..you really took me accross a line that i had not yet crossed...producion wise..so thanks..and yes i would love some advise on mastering!
i will check out Armin's _Sail and see what you mean...
musically it is not there...i would say it is close but with some more "depth"..as it has been said, this tune would be alot better....
so..

i will work on this tonight man...and PM you about Mastering...if that is ok...
Cheers

you have a grasp but not the full idea... don't self master. the idea is wonderful, beautiful and spacey, but you are ripping off armin van buuren. i know creatively it's probably not your intention and you are enjoying the fact that you can product on a semi-professional level, but this isn't gonna get you any club goers. if you had a time machine and went back 10 years you would probably be really famous. your melodys aren't bad but the elements you are using have been done so many times, it's interesting hearing such good trance production. i can feel some elements of originality, but i think you aren't quite at the place where thousands of people will jump up and down in the club to this. the production is great. good job, and i can tell you worked really hard on this so keep up the good work. the mixdown is so clean good job

if you keep this up, but have a more memorable melody, you'll be on Ajuna or ASOT in no time. Yes it's ready for release, but I feel like you can put out something so much better

Thanks Evolve
i apprechaite your honesty...and i know that what you are saying is 100% on track...obliviously i never intended to rip off Armin..or to sound samey but i have....haha...and it wont cut it or give me the satisfaction....My goal is for 1000's to jump around and love my tunes...so a definiate step up in the melody department is what i need.....i just feel blocked with where to go...
..i will keep looking at this and try to get a melody organised.....

thanks again..for your honest and kind words
cheers
