id email the acomadation services at the university, they may be able to set you up in halls, or else they would be able to give you info on people in the area looking for housemates

imm at leeds uni and my basic costs per week are

rent £50
food £30-£50
bills for electricity gas phone etc £20


those are the basic ass on the costs like socalaising and buying cloths and cd's etc to that depending on your life style
