Swamp, how do you rate you mixes and tracks?? For tracks do you see if you should post it depending on if you like it?? If you dont like it, do you think of how crowds or other people would react to it? For mixes, do you see if you will post it by judging on how popular the Dj is?? Pleease let me know, I really want to know ..

Good Question.. heh.. First of all if I put up a song 99% of the time I make sure it's somewhat 'unique' sounding...

I hate having to post a shitload of songs of the same genre all uplifting or all progressive or whatever... This is especially true for singles.. I don't like to post boring tracks, I like floor-fillers and pumping beats..

People sometimes think that if I don't update for a week that I don't have tunes or I'm slacking off... Fact of the matter is I don't compromise on quality in order to satisfy the people who want quality.. If I don't have tunes that I think are good enough to update with then I won't update.. I could care less if another mp3 site has 20 new tracks, that's great for them, but not my style.

Mixes... It's often popular DJs yes.. but.. sometimes I get sets from amateurs and I listen to them and they're talented - but I'll only post their stuff if it's different.. Another mix full of the most popular tunes is hardly desirable.

Change is good.

Sometimes I post tracks that I know the majority of people might not like, but some might and hey that's fine with me.

For example... One thing I know is that as soon as I post some cheesy, uplifting track it's going to get an 8+ rating.. Regardless of how formulaic it may sound.. I hate tracks that just fit into a genre and have no uniqueness to it or worse yet, try to rip off another similar sounding track and live off that popularity

Soooo when you see a track with a 5.5 or a 6 rating don't run away from it... Chances are if you heard it at a club you'd dance your ass off to it.

Oh.. and if as soon as I hear a track I can picture myself dancing like crazy to it at a party then it instantly gets posted.. No questions asked
