How do I burn an mp3 cd from an already burned CD?

Hello Fellow TA's,

I am purchasing a Kenwood KDC-MP919 MP3 car stereo in 3 weeks. Here's my problem, most of my trance and other music cd's are already burned onto discs. After I burn them I delete them from the hard drive.
How do I take those burned songs that are not on the hard drive, and put them into a mp3 cd?

I am using Easy CD Creator 4, when I go to NEW CD-Data CD and open the burned cd, it won't let me drag the songs into the data layout. If

I right click on the song and use the extract method, it asks to save as "MPEG Layer-3 Compressed Audio (*.MP3).

So if I do that for each cd, will it save it as an mp3 that I can later burn onto an mp3 encoded disc?

I also have Windows Media player. When I go to tools-option-CD audio tab, I get a option for copying settings. Can I use that function in anyway?

Thanks,
Emil

Rasta k.i.s.s.

k.i.s.s. = keep it simple stupid

make life easy 4 you and do this...

get a mp3 ripper... I use Sonic Foundry's Siren (you can get a free version from them at www.sonicfoundry.com
you can also use Audiograbber, Audiocatalyst, etc.
You want to rip your burn CDs to mp3 first. Don't use Windows Media Player because it persists with the WMA format, which won't work on your car player.

Once you've ripped 700 MB (about 5 to 9 audio CDs), burn it to CD as MP3s (data cd)!! that's it.
I have a mp3 CD player and I use the same method.
