Should I get this Mp3 car head unit?

if i get this, its going to be cool to have ALL of my mp3s in a car =)

its called a riocar. its been discontinued, but they're still selling it on ebay. here's the link i'm gonna bid on.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=1370874976

most of my research is from http://riocar.org and reading the support forums at http://empegbbs.com

what do you guys think? its better than a stupid cd-based unit, and about the same price (for a quality one at least). before, i was looking into getting a kenwood z828, but they're 500$ and doesn't even support id3v2 tags. only id3v1 tags that are limited to 32 chars. what do you guys think? any of you have one?

I tried the link but it didn't work.
Anyway, bout having mp3 in your car - go for it.
I have a kenwood kdc-8017 and even though it's pretty primitive, the sound quality is mint and i can't live without it anymore. don't switch to radio at all cept for some traffic reports here and there.
Only problem with it imo is that seeking is shite and i listen mainly to mixes/livesets.

What is the capacity of that rio car?

If anything ever happens to the unit don't expect any kind of support from Rio. I have a Rio 500 and I always got shit service from them about it...and they charge you as soon as you call.

That is why I recommend the JVC.

Kenwoods always seem to break down after 14 months (bye bye money)

JVC headunits are very well build, and their service is outstanding!

Get the mp3 player, it might be more expensive but its worth it.
Why do car stereos come with remotes? ffs the head unit is not that far away.

I have a RioCar 20 gig unit in my Impreza, linked to my Pioneer main head unit. It fucking RULES. I only have it half full and I've got more music than I know what to do with. Go for it

I've been saving up for an Alpine CDA-7995 which retails for about US $ 350+ on Ebay.

Check it out, I love Alpine Decks. Not to mention Pioneer too.
