What did you get out of the TA production forum

Just wondering... This particular part of the TA forum has made quite an impact on my personal life.

Best example would be this:
I once contacted a certain member because he had an avatar of some Chicane album. I just felt I should leave a message (because I'm quite a Chicane fan) and so I did. He got back to me and said he liked my music and we kept in touch. Later on, out of the blue, he offered to arrange me some gigs in Serbia. So I went there and had one of the most amazing times ever. Met very kind people whom I consider to be good friends now. I've been back there only once after that. Will be going again in a few weeks (gig and just for fun) and one of them will come over to the Netherlands shortly after that. Good times.

Any more random TA stories?

a guy i met on here did several remixes for me, probably one of the most talented kids i know. we talk no where near as much as we use to but we just signed on with the same agency in south america (on total coincidence) and it looks like we might be djing a bit together in the fall. full circle, this industry is so small, if i can offer any advice do right by people, there's a strong chance you'll be running into them a lot over the years

I gained a lot more confidence from the praise I've had on here when I've posted links to my stuff or people have been to my soundcloud etc. Praise from your mates / co-producers is one thing, but from strangers who have no reason to be polite, it carries more sincerity.

Also had some technical glitches unblocked with the help from some of the guys on here.

No random or particularly interesting stories.

On the production side of things, I hold you highs in really high regards. I learned a lot from many of your posts. As a matter of fact, I look up to many of you. I've seen plenty of you go from bedroom DJ's to becoming pretty known producers/DJ's. I've seen many TA's get their tracks played by DJ's like Sasha, Zabiela, Tiesto, AVB, Armin and more. That's awesome! Hopefully one day, I'll finish a track and one of them would play it. I know lots of the big DJ's lurk this board but never post. There's been times when big DJ's that I don't know personally would approach me and tell me they lurk TA.

I got lots out of this forum. Back when Spundae used to be in LA, I was playing there once a month and it all started because of Kristina Sky. We never talked and one day out of the blue she asked me if I wanted to play at Spundae. After that, I pretty much played there monthly until Spundae moved to Avalon. Once that happened, Spundae only kept their official resident DJ's which are Alain, Gil, Cody and Fei Fei.

Because of TA, I also got to become good friends with Rachael Starr. As a matter of fact, I dj'd at her wedding in the mountains! haha I met lots of other great people here who I became good friends with, and I also did quite a bit of party traveling with other TA's.

I remember one time I was at a Chilli's in Miami. I was all alone, kinda down and just eating there by my self. There was a group of people hanging out at another table having a beer. They invited me over to their table and told me I could hang around with them. It turns out they were all TA's and had recognized me. I had an awesome time that day.

I got the VIP treatment in Vegas during a holiday because someone had recognized me from TA. It was some d00d who had a bunch of hot girls with him. I remember we went to a pool party at Wet Republic and he asked me to hang out with them at their cabana. I offered to pitch in but he wouldn't take my money.

And last, I also played at Avalon several times because of this forum. Everyone in the West Coast forum used to be like a big family. We all helped each other out and we all did things together.

I love TA. And even though I'm not into trance anymore, the people here make this site special. There's just something that can't be found on any other board. I love all the TA's.

I have tons of other stories and can go on forever, including having breakfast with J00f, running into Zabiela in Tijuana and hanging out with him, Markus walking a bunch of us in into a club without knowing us, and a lot more!

LOVE TA!

Learned that the key to success is analog + sidechain.

Learned what mastering is the infuriatingly hard way.

Would walk away knowing that even if you have the best, most pristine sound in the world, it still doesn't make your songs awesome, and no mater what they say, keep learnin'.

I've been schooled, religiously, since I arrived. I'm always learning something about something I thought I already knew and this place has some of the smartest people I've seen on the planet (165+ IQ's notwithstanding). I honestly appreciate all of you people.

I get a good chunk of lulz, of course!

In addition, I've found some awesome plugins for awesome prices, as well as some great technical advice and such.
