We all have our preferences of course, but I thought it would be interesting to see what software the big name producers use.
So far I've ascertained the following:
Armin van Buuren uses Logic Pro
Paul van Dyk uses Logic Pro (he's been using Logic since 1995)
Leon Bolier uses Cubase
Mark Sixma aka M6 started producing with Fruityloops, but I think he now uses Reason.
Sander van Doorn uses Logic Pro.

All of them switch so regularly due to platform changes, endorser changes and preference changes that its just not possible to keep up with. Aside from which, they're all largely identical now except for ableton and reason, so I don't see why it really matters.

DAW really doesn't make a difference at all. It's just about what you're comfortable in. I hate MACs and I'm comfortable with Cubase. I know it inside and out. I'm not going to change just because most of the "top" guys prefer Logic.
What would be more interesting is what instruments and effects are their favorite.
Honestly tho, that is the funnest thing on the planet. I also got all these apps for fader controls and shit. I think i'm gonna buy 2 more and just use it as a futuristic desk controller. Also , i like turning off the lights and pretend i'm piloting the falcon Millennium.

I just found out, korg IMS20 for Ipad, 15euros, you should be looking forward buying an ipad. Its also fun to place it as an extra small screen in your cockpit.

I just bought one. I'm gonna get 2 more. Man its gonna look so tits. Seriously tho , I downloaded a bunch of controller apps and although I haven't had a chance to try them out, they are so fucking cheap. I figure with 3 , all your tracks and inserts and what not would be covered.
