It's a cool looking house for people to look at. Yes, standing in that room would look the same as standing in the 2nd floor of a normal house with panoramic windows, if you never go outside! This isn't fucking architecturecritics.com, it's just an interesting house to look at. |
I'm quite sure my understanding of construction techniques involved is greater than your own. Unless you too have a university education and four years of industry experience, that is.
The non-floating section didn't have to be angled in that ridiculous way; it could have been recessed into the hillside or placed abreast, on a flat plane.
The stairs aren't only pointless; they'll become inconvenient pretty quickly considering the occupants are in their sixties, and seem to think this is their final home.
Yes, it's interesting to look at, if you go outside to have a good old roll down the hill, as sixty year olds do. It's also impractical, which is what counts when you spend 75% of your life in a place. Don't get all bitchy just because I disagree that this is a cool project.
