Stargate Universe
Dunno how many SG fans are out there but as one that wasn't into SG until recently just by virtue of having to watch it for lack of anything else on TV at times, what do you guys think of the SGU premise?
Talked to you about it before but I HAVEN'T seen the series premiere yet...had to go out on Fri.

ME!!!!!!!!!
Massive Stargate fan! Huge!
I had to go out Friday too, but I PVR'd this!
Havent had a chance to watch it yet as have been out the whole weekend, but gonna be doing that tonight!
Cannot wait!
Universe should be great... hopefully more engaging and interesting than Atlantis became in its later seasons. (Never got that attached to the characters)
SG-1 FOREVER THOUGH!

probably not gonna stay that way too long since hardcore fanatics will be bitching about it not being true to the previous 2
It better stay like that! How many fans of the original BSG went ape when the new reimagining started? Just curious.
I doubt it Jamie.

Honestly the only SG thing that interested me was the movie! The tv shows seemed cheesey.
This one though looks a LOT more dark/gloomy and badass.
I've never been interested in these series, but I'll give this series a fair shake as
, since Battlestar Galaactica is gone, I need a good scifi fix. I'll have to find the pilot on the net and check it out!

Same here dude, also b/c ST is gone. The closet sci fi show on tv is Fringe (and even that's closer to X-Files than total sci fi)

For yall BSG fans, I think you'll like this SG far more than the previous ones.
If any one of the series was more "BSG-ish", it'll be this one. Well, i never got into that show, but my bro did, and he made that offhand comment to me the other day.
Just saying that universe may appeal to you BSG fans where the other two wouldnt have.
And Fringe... just couldnt/cant get into that show... not sure why. not a fan.
For proper Sci-fi , i say u gotta go with Stargate baby
