Hey guys I'm looking to buy a record player and was hoping to get some recommendations. I've been looking around online but I only seem to find DJ turntables. I'm not looking for that - I want it solely for listening purposes.
I don't know anything about quality.
I saw a few Sony record players that are probably similar to what I'm looking for but I don't find them to be aesthetically pleasing... I'd like to get something simple, sleek, elegant.
This may sound ridiculous - but so I was looking at some pr0n and saw this girl undressing while listening to a record on her Grado RS1 headphones and I thought that was so hot hahaha but anyway.... the record player in the pics was probably exactly what I'm looking for. Here are 2 pics, both are safe for work:
Also, she seems to be running it through an amp of some sort. I guess I would need one of those? Recommendations? I'd be able to plug my headphones into that but how about speakers? The only speakers I have are the type you can plug into your laptop (1/8 inch plug), would I need higher quality speakers as well??
Thanks guys!

You can't find a record player ad without a model wearing one of those fucking ugly Empire dresses. Oh, yes, dear. You look ravishing, like a 4'9" four-year-old with tits.
Have some class and fork over the cash for an e-bay Techniques. You don't have to buy two, you know.
Urban Outfitters sells some really awesome-looking ones, but I have no idea about the quality.
Check CNET, they may have some reviews for turntables.

That will depend on where you gonna use it mate. Consider these questions;
1. What type of player do you want? Do you want a record player because you have a wide collection of vinyl records or, do you want to buy a record player so that you spin records like a club DJ? The records players used by DJs are totally different from the players used for listening to music.
2. Estimate your budget. How much do you have to spend? Once you know how much you're willing to spend, you can check out the different types of record players available. You can buy one for as little as $50 or you can spend over $1000 depending on what you're looking for.
3. Do you want a stackable player or a manual player? If you want to listen to music for leisure, and wish to stack various records on the spindle for consecutive play then you should buy a stackable player. However, if you want to play only one or two songs from each record by picking them separately, then it is a manual record player you're looking for.
4. What speed of player do you need? The most common speed found is 33 to 45 RPM i.e. revolution per minute. If you have really old records then they are played on 78 RPM and the very old ones are played on 16 RPM. You should know which speeds your vinyl collection will accommodate.
5. What style or Decor do you want? Record players come in a variety of decorative styles. You can buy a vintage looking player or pick out a high tech player. You should make sure that the player you buy goes with the décor of your home.

Hence, that much worse when your taste in masturbatory aid is devalued so thoughtlessly, yet with a note of acutely derisive insight.

Read up on the dynamics of vinyl (Wow & Flutter) then when you're finished reading, buy a Technics. You'll thank me and yourself.
