Sup people! Had an awesome time in Sacramento this weekend at Azukar. The club was already sold out when I got there and the line to get in was a block long. I gotta say I was very impressed with Sacramento. They LOVE house music! It's weird but I always hear you guys complain that Sacramento doesn't have an EDM scene, yet, they loved it this weekend.

I'm also amazed how friendly everyone was. People kept on coming up to me asking for CD's, and luckily I took about 100 to give away. I ran out of them! And when I was done with my set, people came up to me to thank me and give me props for my set. Fantastic time up there. I'm def gonna try to go back there.

Wished I could've made it to this. Looks and sounds like a good night!

From your track list it looks like a proper house set. Did you stick with it? The reason I ask is, traditionaly that club caters to more hip-hop, top 40, with some electro-pop house sprinkled in.

We are definately growing again as a scene (finally) but still lack a pure EDM weekend club. Thursday night's go off the hook, now with 3 dedicated EDM venues.

Another spot opened up recently (in the same venue as 2 former clubs...one of which was our last EDM weekend club about 7 years ago) which DOES have a "house room" for Fri/Sat. Next on my list to check out.

Anyway, thanks for making it up here and hope to catch you the next time your in town!!

I did liked Sacramento a lot and I'm hoping to go back soon. Saturdays at Azukar are Latin nights and they're more into Latin dance & house.

I did two sets, my first set was mostly Latin, but the second set was all house. I didn't quite stick to the playlist you see in that mix because I was reading the crowd. I was playing house at 1am and the crowd wanted it HARD! They were more into the Swedish House Mafia & David Guetta sound.

When I woke up Sunday morning, there was a note taped to my door. Freaky thing is, it had JESSE written over it. I checked in under another name and I didn't tell anyone where I was staying. Not even the promoter who booked me knew. The promoter gave me the cash to book my own room.

I asked the receptionist and she said no one asked for me. I wonder if it was one of those cheerleaders that were staying there? hahaha All rooms on my floor were booked by cheerleaders. hahaha

Woohooo... I got hit up to go back to Sacramento. The owner liked my set last time and wants me to go back. He wants me to go back on April 9th and do a solo set the entire night, but I'm booked here already so I had to decline. Oh well, next time.
