Anyone here who drinks wine regularly? I'm taking a beverage management class right now, and have really gotten into the different parts of the world and how they're different.
Right now, these are my favorites:
Chateau Ste. Michelle [Riesling] from the Columbia Valley in Washington, USA (Very light, off-dry white)
and
Graffigna Centenario Reserva 2008 [Malbec] from San Juan, Argentina (Very deep and buttery red)
Let me know what your favorite varietals and locations are!

I'm a newly-hooked Bordeaux fan. Favorite so far is '86 leoville las cases.
That ste michelle is cheap as all hell, but not bad imo. Not a big Riesling (or white, period) fan. Jay's the one to ask about cheaper stuff.
I tend to like the Willamette Valley pinots, or for the good, older stuff, left bank bordeauxs.

Pinot Gregio FTW
also Reislings.
Wine is great because there's so many different flavors for anyone's taste. even various tastes within the same "genre". i.e. not all merlots taste the same. it depends on the year, and it depends on the food wine is paired with. i love a steak with a nice crisp white wine (either pinot or reis) as it really adds flavor to the whole meal.
