Need help with recording...

Hey guys, I'm looking for a little help recording my sets off my CDJs.

I have a Xone 92, two CDJ 2000s, a Native Instruments Audio 8, and a MacBook Air.

I've done this successfully when I use Traktor (not the CDJs). I have the RCA cables go from "Record" on the Xone to Inputs 5&6 (Channel C) on the Audio 8. Then in the Traktor software I'm able to point it to Channel C. I also have the outputs from Channels C & D on the Xone going to the Audio 8's outputs 1&2, and 3&4, respectively. And then obviously this all gets to the computer via USB.

When using the CDJs I'm not sure how to get the audio signal to my computer. The CDJs are on Channels 1 & 2 on the Xone and the "Record" on the Xone is still going to Input 5&6 on the Audio 8.

I was thinking of just using GarageBand or Logic to record the audio...

Any/all help is much appreciated!

-Keith

Can anyone point out where in Logic I can do this? I am not sure how to point to Inputs 5&6.

Thanks,
Keith

In Logic, open a new Audio track, select 'Stereo' from the Format drop-down menu and 'Input 5-6' from the Input drop-down menu. Check the 'Record Enable' box at the bottom and you should be set to go.

Why don't you just record in Trakor like you normaly would?

You don't have to be playing with traktor to record with it.

It doesn't record via USB, it records via whatever channel you set it to.
