Some great sounds here, one thing I didnt feel is the percussion. Since this track is more chill try using something other than a woodblock kick or a big trancey snare. Really liked the piano, but it could use some more reverb, maybe around the mids.
I really like all the sounds you have created and used, they fit very nice together. I feel the track just needs one or two more elements to spice things up.

Nice sweet melody, I agree the percussion elements are a bit cluttered, Some more space between elements would be great IMO, the percussion could be fitted more to the front due to the kick being really upfront, and I would shorten the attack and add some more rever and delay to the keys.
Nice vibe, looking foward the final work!

Thanks guys
I've deliberately left a big hole in the middle of the mix for the vocals and then i'll add stuff once they're in place.
I hear you on the percussion as well. Not my strongest skillset, and definately something I need to work on.
Great open mix and lovely sounds.
I personally love it this clean and uncluttered - you indicate you may add more layers / sounds, but I dunno, it does'nt need em.
Percs are good, but could be a little more esoteric and really up to date- maybe grab inspriation from sander van doorn or deadmau - his percs even from 3 years ago still seem fresh.
Give me a prod when the vocals are dne as it sounds real nice to me and chill.

I'm not gonna fill it up with arps so don't worry I'm just talking about percs, hits, some layering of what's already there and some vocal frills.
We've done a sketchy test vocal that's not sung in the right voice (misses was in classical mode still ) but i'll PM you a link so you can see where it's going.
