RIP Loleatta Holloway...

I'm pretty sure you all have heard her amazing voice at one time or another. She's been sampled like crazy on the EDM scene, specially on the classic days of deep house and techno. Her voice is just one of those really strong soulful voices you can recognize a mile away. And if you've never heard of her on the EDM scene, you sure have heard her on Marky Mark's Good Vibrations. She's the incredible voice behind the hook.

Just listen to some of these acapellas and you'll recognize parts of them right away.

Such a terrible loss for the EDM community.

Morillo used to layer her acapelas a lot in the early 00's, he does here and there but not as much as he used to.

She will be missed.....

lol I posted the Marky Mark version because I made a reference to it. If someone hasn't heard any of her song, for sure they've heard Marky Mark. She does come out on the video.

Hahaha, I tuned into the radio right after reading this post and Good Vibrations is on. Than I tuned into DI.fm and same thing! hahaha What a coincidence.
