is this thing any good ? Its usb and I'm happy with my apogee symphony but my brother wants me to dj his wedding and I was thinking maybe it would be a good mobile device. Anyone have any experience ?
If anyone really wants this , I can give it to you for 1000. Still shrinked wrapped with full warranty. Unless the retail is lower but i went to the store and the sell it for 1300. I used rme with PC and it was always good but never with usb.

I have been using one for over a year and i have to say they are awesome cards, everything RME makes has a superb quality and the internal routing is unbeleivable

was a gift. My boss tends to pay bonuses with gear. I mean it isn't an official bonus but when ever he gets stuff, he just gives it to me because he has absolutely everything and he thinks i'm swell. HE gets all kind of free shit from so many companies. He doesn't use 10% of the shit he apparently endorses.
ok so any more freebies you get send my way - i have lots of underprivaleged kids here in Thailand who could make great use of gear
If he pays ur "bonus" like that you should be pointing him to gear you want

he doesn't decide. He just gets shit. Every software, loads of hardware. It isn't really like an official bonus. I just work hard and he likes me. I wrote a tv theme song which he slapped his name since it was his production house and I understand because I just moved there and I got to use his studio but the show is going to be syndicated so i've made him alot of money. I'm paid well and more importantly treated well. Rather rare in this industry. He could of just put his name and there is nothing I could of done but he is getting old and he wanted me to give his daughter piano lessons. I also get access to the studio when ever it isn't booked which is kinda nice. I generally just play the grand piano as those big boards just scare me.

the kinda stuff I want tho is more traditional like instruments. My setup is pretty functional and I really haven't had that feeling of needing someting for almost a few years.
I believe its the only decent USB soundcard available. Theres the 824 mk2 (or something like that) of something too (rack width) but I dont recall the brand. But for djeing you might as well get some dj soundcard and software like traktor or serato.
