You mean the tracker (DAW)? Apparently it's great, and really efficient if you like trackers, but my brain doesn't work that way so I need linear editing like logic or cubase.

Ask storteller - it's his main DAW and knows just about everything there is to on it.

P.s. Wrong forum

you know ill do it every chance i get!

Nelly, i have a friend that uses it, he very much likes it. But, its just a Daw man, like there are quite a few out there, demo them all and decide which you like best. Most of them accept VSTS. and if you're like the most of us, you'll probably hate trackers. I think we have a sticky for you to read that will help.

8. What sequencer should I use?
Which car should you drive? Which cell phone plan should you pick? Should you BBQ that hot dog or nuke it?

Who cares? All cars get you from point A to point B, assuming you know how to drive. All cell plans will allow you to call your friends, assuming you pay your bills. And as long as that meat is cooked, it doesn't really matter how. They're all tools, and although everybody has their personal preferences, they all get the job done. Sure - some cost a fraction of the price that others cost because they're less sophisticated. At the same time, if you're just beginning to produce, then you're shooting yourself in the foot if you automatically dive into the most complex programs available.

Most software vendors will make a trial version of their program(s) available. The best way to find out which sequencer you should use is to try all of them out and see which one suits you best.

Unless you're trying to incite another forum war, you don't want to ask this question. You don't even want to tiptoe around it. People argue enough about this topic *without* being prompted for their opinions.

They all do the same thing, in slightly different ways.

Why don't you tell Steve where the stickies are

I like Reaper and it's audio engine.
I use it a lot to play with vst's and to Record singers and Rappers.
I Like it better then pro-tools.

My #1 tip for learning any DAW is to learn your keyboard shortcuts and your on your way.

That line there is the one that sticks out most for me. I think I've fallen victim to it as well. I've just been overwhelmed while trying to get onboard the producing bandwagon.

Tom's (rann's) feeling a little frisky tonight I think. I might start making life a little more difficult for him in the Dj Booth.

Seems to me Reaper was made for recording live instruments, guitars, vocals, ect. I know of one guitarist that uses it. The 64 bit audio engine gives you a high quality recording. I don't think you would want to use it for pure EDM productions.
