My computer issues never seem to end... HP Mini 210 , halp anyone?
So, the motherboard of my HP Mini 2133 died on me , so i purchased a new one, HP Mini 210 with Windows 7 Starter.
First i was pissed because i cannot change the background , but i got over that quickly, then i notice i can't make the resolution higher than 1024 x 600 which is a MAJOR issue
Is there any freaking way to get it over 1024 x 600? anyone got any tricks up their sleeves? ... ANYONE!!!??

I took the windows it came with off because it was to big for the atom processor, but I have your old computer not the new one. It looks like the processor is the same though, so maybe reverting to xp might be a good idea. (And I am not really that technically savvy so don't take my word for it) can the resolution get much higher on that computer anyways, I lower mine as much as possible so that it will run quicker. Sorry not helpful at all I know.

Graphics Processor Intel GMA 3150
Video Memory up to 256MB Total Available Graphics Memory
Max Resolution 1024 x 600
you are not going to be able to increase the resolution, sry.
as far as adding XP- i wouldn't waste any more money on it.
my advice- save your money for a real laptop,

I've never owned a netbook yet I know that 1024x600 seems to be a normal resolution for the screen.
have you ever considered the fact that the screens are tiny hence making it more likely to not have a super high resolution?
what were you expecting? 1920×1080

I somewhat unwisely retired my old Dell laptop and bought a mid-range HP, bad mistake.
Don't buy a HP and Windows 7 is highly overrated.

If speed is a problem, you can get a fairly good performance boost by disabling the unnecessary effects on Windows 7. With your processor turning off most of the flashy effects should give you an easy 20% speed boost. Also download Ccleaner, click "tools" then "startup" on the left side and disable any programs that you don't need loading every time you turn the computer on. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
