So, I'm not a huge fan of dubstep; I hate how most dubstep artists try to get the fattest most distorted, bitcrushed sounds possible with cliche drops and wobbles. Now, I know skrillex is electro house, but he seems to create a dubstep-electro-glitch-house feel all in one with most of his tracks. His track fucking die brakes away from the norm of the 4 step kick, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF75ebW68vU But his tracks like Kill everybody have the 4 step kick, some glitchy stabs and some pretty unique, melodic stabs of bass with some wobble. I was talking with my friends and one of them said he is kind of creating a sub-genre, between glitch, electro house and dubstep. I can see this, and though I think skrillex is overrated, he has a very unique, energetic style that moves your body. What do you guys think of skrillex?

I think it's kind of weird that someone who looks like a little emo kid is making this music to try to be super hardcore bro! I know a lot of huge dubstep fans who absolutely hate Skrillex, and it seems like the majority of his fan base is under the age of 18. I guess props to him for finding something that has become so popular, but I still barely even consider this stuff music.

Edit: Just listened to the song the OP posted, and that one isn't that bad up until 1:30 but then just completely derails.
