hey mate, cheers for the reply actually i meant the reverse, not so much as receiving promos from artists, but actually sending out our releases before they drop to bigger DJs. for example you hear all these DJs saying they get thousands of promos a week in their inboxes, so i meant in that regard
cheers!

The forum below, might be a good place to advertise the release, here.

If you're looking for something like a DJ e-mail listing aggregator, I'm not sure where you'd go. I'm not too far into that side of the business end, but I'd think a personal touch would go a long way, in-so-far as cultivating a personal relationship with DJ's you're shopping tune to - but that's my own personal Marketing 101 take on the topic.
It may mean rifling through a ton of DJ webspaces, but I suspect you could accrue a good list, that way, but if they don't know you, it could take a bit longer than you'd like. Even if they do know you, it could take a while.

I'll also add that I get a TON of automated "shared" referrals in my gmail account from other sound-cloud users. Unless someone contacts me, specifically, I just ignore them. It's not an ego thing. I just don't have time to check everything I'm always sent. When people take that personal touch, however, I feel almost obligated to check out their stuff. |
same, i really hate this kind of message "Hey friend [...], check this... sent to 1,000 djs while if someone actually writes something exclusively for me, asking for feedback... is a moral obligation for me to check and give my opinion about it.
Go for this since statistically you'll get more and better reactions.
