So, if you saw the mix I posted last week, you know it was spring-oriented. No prizes for guessing which month this one was first conceived. Think snow, -10 degrees and a lot of time spent indoors. I've been accumulating these tracks for a little while, and I'm happy I waited. For me, this is quite unusual structurally, with a lot of beatless time and a relatively short thumping section.

I have a feeling this isn't going to be that popular. The people who are into super-distorted, proper industrial techno will think this is too slow, soft or conventional, while it might be a bit dark and banging for others. Anyway, I guess I'll find out. Whatever the case, this is an accurate representation of my taste in this kind of music, and I guess that's the best I can do as a DJ.

I just finished listening through this again and objectively, I think it's probably the best mix I've ever done. Strange, because it was low down on the scale of emotional investment compared to my others, in that there are types of music I like more than this.

Here's a snazzy tracklist:

Very nice. Talk about dark, holy cow, you weren't kidding. The bass here is so very intense. Nice flow, and decent mixing considering how freaking heavy it is. There were a few spots during transitions where I could tell the basslines were having trouble blending properly, but it's not like this can be avoided with these tunes. A few of the tracks had slightly lighter melodies with them as well, which I thought was a nice touch. Although knowing me, I would have preferred just pure evil the whole time. That being said, my favorite track was definitely Speedy J - Armstrong.

Nice flow, the ending was a bit for me, I'm normally not used to sets ending with ambient, but the mood in those two tracks fit like a glove. Good work, the length was much better this time, and the tracks were super cool. Thanks for the music!

right on. this was excellent, i think you could have made the blunt transition between oscar mulero and awesome adam-x track but yeah. mixing was nice, kept a steady flow and i just felt that dark pounding techno vibe.

Bump. Thanks to those who've downloaded and listened already. Montana it's nice to get a good review from you, as you're a tough judge (which I like).

This mix is awesome. Downloaded it the other day and I've listened to it a few times already. First half is my favorite but the whole thing was great.
