Some nice ideas, but I think the mixdown could be better and the synths could use a little more development. |
I totally agree with you regarding mixdown and synth development. I guess this is what you get for working in the dark and only stacking subtractors. Good thing you didn't hear it before it was mastered

Nice Track man, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very nice melody during and after the breakdown. It could use a few adjustments but overall it was a very nice track! I played it twice already and might play it a third time. Check mine out at http://soundcloud.com/lockdowndj/generate-pulsar

I think we share the same taste... added a comment on your cloud.

nice track man, i like the intro, kick, bass and effects flow realy well together, the synths sound alot like outback which is a plus too, main melody doesnt realy float my boat but i like the overall sound, well done |
Not really sure what you mean by "outback", but thanks.

Hey mate,
Listening as I review:
0:45 - Not convinced this kick has the weight it needs.
0.55 - Old school snare fill is a bit dry for my tastes, but I like the de-pitch at the end
1.03 - Nice snare
1.25 - Like the digi bass riff
2.20 - This saw-type lead sounds haunted!
3.00 - Try adding some nice stereo FX for atmosphere here?
4.00 - The progression between here and 5.00 seemed like it could happen a bit quicker. Maybe an extra pad that comes in at 4.00 would help.
5.00-6.00 - Bit fuller now, nice.
6.18 - Nice outro lead-in
Overall, not in line with my personal tastes (I *tend* to prefer brighter, fuller tracks) but fairly well produced. Keep it up.
Thanks,
Alex
