Nice groove

Definitely a smooth groove. My taste would be more going on, but if you're really going for that minimalist feel then I'm diggin it. Just an idea: around 1:04 have a "whooshing" thing lead in to the groove.

solid track. If this was on my ipod id listen to it again and again. great melody. Only thing I would prefer is a trimmed down version.

The mixing is so so (muddiness is a big issue), and the mastering doesn't bring the best out in the sound either. Melody is OK but there's just not enough 'drive' in the track to maintain interest. Would fit alright in a mix but wouldn't make it stand out either. Try to work on reducing mudiness as far as mixing is concerned - roll off the areas on sounds that don't need them, especially the lower mids.

Not sure what he means with more colour? The hat at the start is very high and transiet-y, but you do well to accommodate it later in that all other treble frequencies are filled. In general though the upper mid range is lacking which is more of a mastering issue really. But yeah the muddiness (excessive upper bass and lower mid frequencies) is the real killer. And please don't mix so loud - there's really no need to push the volume this hard and certainly not as hard as 4:15 where you can clearly hear the track distorting.
