REVIEW: Gareth Emery Northern Lights Concert at the Guv.
I thought his set was pretty legit last night. He used a lot of somewhat older tracks (I think I remember Lethal Industry being mixed in there) and kept the energy high throughout. The added touch of the live piano, guitar, and vocals was interesting too, as I've never seen anything like it at any EDM events, other than Pretty Lights having a live drummer who was terrible at Electric Zoo last year.
On a much more sad note, I was informed by a reliable source that the Guv will be closing its doors for good as of next November . The lease is up, and they're selling the lot to a housing developer to put luxury condos in instead.

I agree with you but there are still ppl who feel that this November coming is truly the next November. And technically, it is...
I just wanted to clarify which he was talking about...
If it is November 2012, then who cares since the world is ending the following month anyway right??

This is the part where we're supposed to start panicking, right? Give me a break. INK prints money with that complex and the City of Toronto makes tens if not hundreds of thousands from it in taxes every year. They're not going to sell it lol... brutal.
