How to achieve this vocal effect?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, the vocal effect Im taking about is used alot in Armin's recent productions.Heres an example(under his GAIA alias) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=li0l68XKrdM&feature=fvsr

It starts at the beginning, sounds like reverb of some sorts?

Chop a vocal up with a slicer, add reverb, write out your desired pattern. Use lots of vowel sounds. The other effect where the reverb leads in to the vocal is called a backverb. There are a billion tutorials on backverbs on the youtubez.

Don't forget to sidechain it, add a little delay even. It should blur together nicely.
