I don't think you really need a tutorial its really simple.
First for mono go to the mixer in fruity, its the button underneath the 8th empty effect rack or last one basically. The one right underneath it (theres 2, you want the top one) turn it to the right so the audio says "100% merged" and it will be in mono.
For stereo delay simply turn off the delay on nexus, I turn off the reverb too because they are both shit imo. When it comes to fx thats one thing you don't want to slack on. Vsts doesn't really matter but if you use crappy fx it will show in the end product.
Anyway stereo delay in FL is the "stereo shaper". It has a preset called "mid", that should put the sounds in mono also. But I honestly don't see the benefits of it and no reason to use stereo shaper instead of the merge button. Thats when it comes to mono. However, when you want to widen your sounds, I don't even use stereo delay or unmerge the audio through the mixer. I clone the sound so I have 2, and pan each 100%. One to the left other to the right. Offset one just a hair so theres no phasing. On top of that I will throw waves stereo imager to try and push it even further, FL's stereo shaper doesn't seem as powerful. So maybe it meant for widening sounds. But I never noticed a difference for mono.
If you need mono just use the merge button, its the simplest. For a really wide stereo field though a good stereo delay (Fl's isn't that great imo) will really help a lot. Some stereo delays do have the benefit of offering you more calculated positioning in the stereo field, which is hard to explain here, and is probably what he meant, but I'm not sure if you'll even really need that. Like waves S1 imager handles asymetry (for nonsymetrical seperations) and rotation which is almost like panning but not quite. It will move the entire stereo field itself either left or right, easier to see with pictures. But it may be overkill for what you asked here.
Let me know if you have any questions. And I guess that was a tutorial afterall lol. A short one though.
