a large amount of people use it on the hub anyway. it is different and sumtiems a pain in the arse so i stick with my normal one.

I'm one of them. People with eg <++ V:0.18,M:A,H:1,S:1> in their description use DC++. V: is the version they're using. M: is the connection mode (Active/Passive). H: is the number of hubs the person is connected to and S: is the number of slots available.

I have to use this 'alternate' version, as the original refuses to work.
