Just felt like pulling out some records and making an old school deep house mix this afternoon!
This one is a mixture of old and new vinyl, but mostly old. It's deep , groovy, soulful, and pretty raw. Hope you enjoy.

Alright so, gave this a run through. This was a little difficult for me, on one hand I liked a lot of what was going on. Sound-wise, general flow, atmosphere, all of that, but on the other hand I just don't vibe too well with these types of vocals (or, as abundantly available as they were in this mix). I get they're a major part of this type of house, especially older house, but they just don't click for me. I appreciate them, but in the way a white suburban dude who really likes music that goes boom-boom anyways would.
The track at about 50-51 minutes really sparkled with me, and that opening track was kickass. Overall nicely done, quite raw, and a pretty enlightening collection of this brand of house put together well.

This was an interesting mix to listen. I liked the fuse between old-school house and newer stuff, though not a fan of some stuff like Brian Harden. Oh, I can't help but smile when I see Canadian house tracks in these mixes ... Kingdom Come, great release. I have the entire Strobe label in my vinyl collection
Great mix! Mixing is also top notch. You just gave me an idea for a set ... I got a killer deep house mix in my plans, perhaps.
