This may be a long shot, but does anyone have one of these?

I had one when they first came out but I took it back when I discovered it wasn't stereo. By that I mean that unplugging the right phono lead just lowered the volume rather than cutting out the sound to the right speaker.

Anyone know if they are all like this or if it was a batch / version issue?
