I have an idea for a mix competition just wanted to know any feedback or how it sounds.

Have a remix competion where everyone gets the same Tracklist-
60-80 min set- Songs are the same- but you can put them in any order- use any mix you like. What do you think?

Nice Idea but as a judge Id go MADD same songs ocer and over and over. I was just listening to trance for a while and i had to turn it off and listen to some really progressive soudns so i wouldnt throw up. Other thing is this could only be for cd peeps and mp3 handlers no 12in could get each every song well maybe a few like numero uno.

pretty much sums up all the problems, plus choosing your own tracks allows the extra creativity as there will be a lot of mixes that would be identical.

I just offer the idea because You give everyone the same block of Ice and tell them to make a sculpture- Everyone has their own interpretations. How you mix each track together- Which order you would play them in- Which Mix you like- etc...

There would obviously be a some tracks that are available and some that are not. Would just have to be a majority or whatever and when done- this is the list- you want to sign up- you can- if you dont have the songs then- obviously you cant.

Another problem would be how to pick the tracklist...
