Question Remix Contest

Hi all,
I'm new on this forum. I'm a trance producer and I have no official track released yet. Although I like more doing original productions I tried my luck in a remix contest for Activa - Telic track.
Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to win. My friends tell me they like mine more but I want objective opinions . I don't even know if Activa listen to it.
So here are the remixes. The second is the official winner (it is not the full version but I hope is enough to form an opinion). Which one do you like more?
I would be very grateful for any kind of input.

Activa - Telic (Valen Tyno Remix) by Valen Tyno

Activa "Telic" (Simon Williams Remix) [Discover, UK] by SimonWilliams

This is the original track:

Simon's percussion was better but, over-all, I preferred yours - even though, to be honest, I'm not really a fan of the original. It seemed to embody every cliche' attributable to its genre and really wasn't that original.

dont worry dude, lots of contests are a joke. I bet they were looking for that "In" electro-edged trance, and your bassline didnt fit what they wanted to begin with. Work on originals and get them signed if you havent already.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you, I'm not a fan of the original either so I said here is an opportunity to improve it I did in about 4 days (I found about the contest very late, 7 days before deadline) so didn't have time to work too much on the details.
