I'm very new to this so bare with me please. I would like to make my 1-2 hour mixes sound much better, I'd say radio quality like (ASOT) where it sounds much bassier and higher quality. Anybody know a good tutorial on how to do this? I feel like just the tracks mixed together without any edits sounds too flat, and needs some enhancement. I believe its compression is what im looking for. thanks

You can also perform compression for mixes in free software like Audacity.

firstly, sort the EQ out and any level issues you may have then run it through either a limiter or compressor.

i compress the fuck out of everything, unless its ambient or something which requires some dynamics.
