yeah i was looking at it some weeks ago again. im abit unsure though, it seems slightly too limited. and the price up to the machinedrum isnt really that much. i need to see more videos before i can make up my mind on this.

I'm thinking about it. I'd really like to be able to work a bit more live, but I'll have to work out if I can afford it first...

what im most afraid of is if there has to be alot of preparations, caus then ableton might be just as "instant". and the fact that its only 8 channels worrys me too. all my tracks use like 14 channels. neverthreless id love to have some drummachine/sampler/groovebox stuff outside my computer. i used to have alot of fun with the korg electribes, unfortunately those were too limited and crappy sounding and i have a feeling this one would give me the same thing only even more limited (but probably better sound). the electribes gave me together 32 channels but the lack of separating efex/eq etc made it pretty useless for anything else than jamming.

Ableton probably isn't going to be as instant as a standalone audio interface/controller included bundle which fits in your lap... I'm a bit ableton evangelist, but I think this is going to work more as an instrument, totally different purpose IMO.

Yeah 8 tracks is shite, but still, I don't think its going to excel at builing whole tracks, but for smashing out little glitchy things, It'll probably be unbeatable..

yeah probably. as long as you know the limits and are ok by that i believe the actual sound from it is great. i really dont know though. id like to try something like this out first, as it costs alot of money and probably wont help my production at all. its mostly for fun and maybe, just maybe live usuage and/or making nice loops.

Mine came tuesday. Its insane, so much live potential. I've already laid down the foundations for two tracks just based on a bunch of samples I selected randomly and left on there. Haven't even needed to touch ableton or synths to get some amazing results.
