Two new tracks, two different styles..

Hey guys, these two tunes represent my latest efforts..

Paradigm Shift

Pretty happy with the melodic elements in this track, the bassline perhaps not quite doing it justice though.

Paradigm Shift by tomportas

and

Psychological Dependency

This was an experiment in something different for me..

Psychological Dependency by tomportas

Would be great to get some feedback

Cheers

Personally I prefer the 2nd (Psychological Dependency). Nice vocals too =). I don't know how to really explain it but it sounds a bit like if it missing something.. Maybe another effect in the background sounds ?

Like at 2:30 it's perfect with the new melody you make. xD

The first one is not really the style I like (super fast beats )

Cool thanks for your thoughts!

Yeah I was considering introducing a hint of that lead in the first half of the second tune, might play around with the beginning some more.

First tune is 138bpm, not too fast for the uplifting genre I think but fair enough everyone to their own taste

I'm curious to hear if the mixdowns are sounding ok on other systems? I've pushed the levels of these tunes through some mastering plugins but keen to know if you guys can hear any area's I could improve in the mixing?

Cheers
