All time favourite: Sophie's World - absolutely stunning twist in the middle. I've never experienced something like this in a book before.

Best fiction: The Dragonlance Chronicles by Weiss & Hickmann. Read them twice and they still have all the qualities that Lord of the Rings is lacking: Excitement, romance, tension and a blurred line between good and evil.

Best horror: The Shining or It. Can't really decide.

Any book by Clive Cussler. I also think "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a classic.

Hell Yeah!!

I thought that "The Bear and the Dragon" was kind of not his style, but DAMN! That had a great climax. I got that the day it came out and didn't put it down for a week.

I also saw the stupid trailer for Sum of All Fears. Oh boy. That movie is 1) gonna fan some un-needed flames about our war, b) just plain make the book seem like a far away plot, and c) not be seen by me in the theatre. I will definitely download that piece of crap movie and curse at it in the comforts of my home.

Yeah, Clancy kicks major ass! Red Storm Rising will aways be my favorite book of all time.
