I remember in 2002 everyone was saying what a shit year it was for trance. And most of the tracks you've mentioned are shit. I have some nostalgic memories for tracks from that period, but really the full-blown glowstick trance was just about as stupid in any year.

2002 was when clubbing started for me. got to see dj tetsuya from Japan at the avex cyber trance night in Okinawa.
you see for me 2002 was defined by these avex compilations, since mentioning the trance movement in Japan at that time, ayumi hamasaki comes to mind, also globe. globe M.I.K.E. woked together on the Bonzai label and put together a one of a kind 80's elctroish, breakbeat smasher with trancing synths and bleeding epicness.
