Dunno Paul Van Dijk

I just realized that one of my 12" vinyls says...

PAUL VAN DIJK - Time Of Our Lives

It's odd. Does PVD use that name in other countries and Paul Van Dyk on others?

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_van_Dyk

"Matthias Paul, better known by his stage name Paul van Dyk (born 16 December 1971 in Eisenhüttenstadt, East Germany) is a German Grammy Award-winning Electronic Dance Music DJ, musician and record producer. Paul van Dyk was one of the first artists to receive a Grammy nomination in the newly added category of Best Dance/Electronic album for his 2004 release Reflections. He was named World No.1 DJ in both 2005 and 2006.[2] Paul van Dyk is the only DJ who has remained in the World's Top 10 DJs since 1998.[3] He is also the first DJ to be named No.1 by mixmag in 2005. As of 2007, he has sold over 4.5 million albums worldwide."

His DJ name appears to be made up, and "van Dijk" is listed as a "nickname" or "variant" on some sites such as discogs. There's also another TA forum discussion about his name, although it doesn't answer this question:

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...d/t-248984.html

"Dijk" is a popular Dutch name, perhaps someone from the Netherlands chose a nickname for him from their home country? Also, Americans pronounce "Dyk" as "dike," while Germans pronounce it as "dook." Both are correct, much like how "i" is pronounced "i" in the States, but "e" in German.

I hope that I have thoroughly not answered your question.
