Piooner 400 CDJs should i buy?

Hi, basically i've never used cdjs before but I dont feel like virtual dj is cutting it for me anymore. I've been looking at getting a pair of CDJ-400s as a starting set, does anybody recommend them? (or not recommend them). The cheapest available i found is £600 which is obviously a big risk (and practically all my money).

Another option would be to get an all in one beginner set, i found the American audio ck1000 for £150 on ebay which is apparently a pretty good deal, but obviously wouldnt be anywhere near as good as the cdj-400s, and probably wont be able to use in a club (which i hope to be doing fairly shortly)

Thanks for any advice!

Stu

Do it up, everyone I talked with who used these, said they are great....especially if your not looking to spend that much...ive seen some stuff on kijiji and or craiglist that people are selling djm-400 with two cdj 400's for about a grand all together

great steal

That's a great price for the 400's. I'd take it. But if you're concerned about breaking the bank, take a look at the 200's. Great CDJ's for their size and price. This is only an option.

Thanks for the advice guys, after some research, definitely got my heart set on some pioneer cdj400s. I'm going to sell my microkorg and saxophone to afford some!

I'm tempted to buy that american audio set in the meantime just to get a hang of things, but probably wont, not too sure about the resell potential.

Just one more question, i don't have like a proper speaker set up, just 2 speakers and a sub with the audio connection being lineout, would i be able to plug these into a set of decks?
