Union Jack - Retrospective
Seen this on Beatport today and I've been up to date with Porcupine; so this totally surprised me. There are 30 tracks total in the release with a couple new tracks including a 2008 Live Mix of 'Yeti' and contest winner remixes of 'Red Herring' which is remixed by original Union Jack member Claudio Giussani and 'Papillon' remixed by a Finnish duo that also had a remix for Art of Trance's 'The Horn', and hadn't seen a release since 2002.
I'm a little put off by some tracks being remastered, curious to know if they just made them louder. A CD release would be nice in the future. A couple more memorable tracks could have replaced the some other songs selected but its a pretty sweet package for newbies wanting a crash course spanning the Union Jack name.
It took Simon a while, but now he's really releasing the Platipus material.
edit: Yeti 2008 Mix - Live In Miami is really nice...loved the original
