Sounds to me like a sine/triangle ran through distortion unit.
Try creating one-osc synth with short envelope (default patch will suffice, you shall only add a short, spiky envelope on oscillator's volume). Should it sound too hollow, you could try replicating the first osc, detuning it slightly (or even octave or fifth lower/higher), adjust volume to taste, slap FastDist on it, then the usual - delay + reverb and you should be set.
