Toronto on a Tuesday ???

Hey guys! I normally wouldn't go out on a tuesday but I have an unexpected guest coming into town and looking for something dancey (not bloody likely) ... house or techno, no cheese please. But if that fails which I assume it will, any cool bars that offer something different to an outsider? something with some flare, alternative, different would be nice, open to suggestions! Thanks

I'm new to town and figure im shit outta luck on the dance front, but please recommend some cool bars she's an aussie and i wanna give her a good impression of toronto!!!

Dunno about actual partying on a Tuesday but for pubs I'd recommend Distillery District as it's always a good bet for visitors. Beautiful, tons of the arts to enjoy, and probly the only area to go in Toronto for a good dose of protected history besides Fort York. Mill St Pub is pretty much the only pub there but is good food for the money + where they make the actual beer. Oyster Bar next door is great if they're your thing. Tappo is also good and not insane $$ there's a couple others as well but those are my suggestions.

Real Sports Bar beside the Air Canada Centre is impressive with a big ass TV but probly better for guy visitors than girls. 2 good heated pub patios downtown are Hemmingweys in Yorkville and Jack Astors by the Eaton Centre (4 stories up) and there's a few other ones that are the same deal in that building.

If you don't mind dropping loot and want to impress with a view do 360 in the CN Tower (food is meh, but go late so they dont rush you and get a bottle of wine, you'll enjoy it) or maybe Panorama at Bloor/Bay. That should help but hopefully someone else kicks in with more danceable options...

Not sure what will actually be busy, pub wise, tonight. Maybe check out Hemmingways or The Madison.

And when you're done mingling with all of the "normal people" say around midnite...walk up spadina starting at queen...keep your eyes open for parked cabs and ears open for basslines...you will find your house/techno.

ugh i hate century... only good thing is the free water on your way out

it's not electronic but the orbit room on college st has a live reggae night every tuesday that is absolutely BUMPING! $10 to get in but worth every penny, and they don't mind if you smoke wacky tobacky on the patio. starts about 10pm and goes late

Dude I went to check out Madison last weekend cause I was with guys from school who aren't very EDM at all so we were like let's check it out. Lost my wallet the previous weekend so I'm rocking a passport, hand it to the douche bouncer and then he's like patrick how much have you had to drink ? I was like uh 2 drinks? not drunk AT ALL. And then he's like yea step aside please. Lesson learnt, last time I step foot in one of those shit holes. Anyway thanks for the advice guys, I ended up heading to meet up with one of her old friends so it didn't really matter and taking her to dOP on thursday for a real night. yeyeyeeeee
