i think towards the end in leans into that general direction. i tried to be as varied as possible, but i think it's unavoidable. granted i included what i considered tolerable, but tastes are like snowflakes.
The first part is mainly drumstep/drum & bass stuff. moves into more hip-hop for a period, going back to drumstep for a second before slowly crawling into dubstep.
the finish is more mellow with Wut and CMYK.
i really just did it for myself, toying around in my new studio (cleaned out the office in my house, and turned it into a collection of vinyl and hardware). wanted to see if i could do it, while steadily getting buzzed on Anchor Steam beer (great stuff) as the night progressed.
i can't say i'm completely satisfied with the final product, but it was a good first venture into the genre - not that i can guarantee it won't be the last or the first of many.
i agree that dubstep, for the most part, is a trashy genre with a lot of generic/under-produced babble. but there are gems - i'm hoping i've incorporated a few of them.
