Yeah, a great effort from the pilots to be fair.

When I saw this earlier today, I also read that the airport spent over an hour preparing the runway for a landing without any landing gear.

I can only speculate what that involved, probably lots of Vaseline.

Yeah, Vaseline was an exaggeration

Although I imagine they did something to the runway to reduce the friction between the aircraft and the runway surface.... the first time I saw the video, I was honestly expecting a fire to emerge...

... but I'm merely speculating.

yeah, they sprayed fire retardant foam all over the runway, and dumped the fuel before landing
