Man, Skrillex can put on a good show! It was crazy to see the following this guy has being so fresh in the scene. Definitely a wide variety, all walks of life were present last night. From hoodlums, skaters, wigger boys, preps, scandulous teenies, modernized candy ravers and the ordinary edm lovers like myself lol. Good vibe with the crowd, it was a sold out show. The venue was packed! Chris, I believe I got a small taste of you Calvin Harris experience with the heat and crazyness, but it was manageable if you lingered more towards the 1st floor bar behind the VIP area (our usual hang out spot for the Orlando crew). The opener was bangin' played some really good tracks, I could have listened to him the whole night if Skrillex didn't show up.
Skrillex started at 1:03am and played till just after 2:30am, heavy hitting dub as expected with a couple surprises...he busted out that Adele remix that I haven't heard yet that really got the crowd going and ended his set with Cinema.
I would have liked to have gotten more up front, but no way I was going to muscle my way through that crowd...the only annoying part is that when you have to use the restroom you have to go upstairs and since it was packed, the stairs going up got clogged up.
I'd prefer to have a 21+ crowd next time, but then again it made things entertaining to watch some of the newbies, haha. It took some adjusting to get into the slower beats with dub, a couple times I found myself hoping that a more trancey house melody would magically kick in
This was my first time seeing him, and I would go see him again.
