Thumbs down Canadian ISPs may become spies

reported by C|Net:

quote:

The Canadian government is considering a proposal that would force Internet providers to rewire their networks for easy surveillance by police and spy agencies.

Arguing that more and more communications take place in electronic form, Canadian officials say such laws are necessary to fight terrorism and combat even run-of-the-mill crimes.

that brings 2 questions to my mind, privacy and efficiency. forget the first one for now, but how can they possibly monitor millions of canadians on the internet, and keep a 6-month log of every individual's surfing habit? that's a load of crap if you ask me. if you have more valid reasons to tell the authority NOT to snoop upon YOU, why don't you tell them why not to? ([email protected]) the deadline is november 15.

me? huh?? being an unemployed, uneducated jackass who knows absolutely nothing but to listen to trance... bet i can only cough up words like

"YOU CAN SHOVE THAT 21-PAGE BLUE-FUCKIN-PRINT UP YOUR ARSE FOR ALL I CARE, you fuckin wanker"

which ain't very civilized, eh?
