Woah! That's a bargain. I paid much more for mine from the Apple Store in the UK. They always seem to drop these bombshells a couple of months after I purchase something. Same happened when I bought Komplete 7 and they released Komplete 8. I got a free upgrade though because I was one pissed off customer.

Back when I bought Logic it cost $1000! A very smart thing they did dropping the price.

any ideas if they are gonna reduce the price on the upgrade from logic 8, or does this mean logic 10 is gonna come out any time now?

1000 for a software is ridiculous specially when there are so much good producers using Fl studio and not so pro daws, or even burial using old fashioned stuff

im never buying software again. i feel tricked...

No, it means that you'll pay full price every year for an 'upgrade' like the Call of Duty players do (while basically buying exactly the same thing as last year)
